Overall great experience. It has been years since I have had an opportunity to order Abelskievers, and they were great.
Nice, clean space. Short wait, fast and friendly service .
I like that daily specials add a seasonal twist to the menu, which is already pretty great .
4 stars instead of 5 because: coffee was not very good at all, tight seating , meat heavy entrees. -

Man, did the four of us have a great breakfast here! The wait was less than five minutes on an early Saturday morning and we were led to one of the two wooden, boat like berths in the place. Private digs and room to breathe.
The Folorade Igg (lost eggs) is a decadent, delicious mixture of poached eggs in a bed of spinach and sliced ham, topped with peccaries and panko. We ordered two to share, it was that good.
The Pyit Patta (Swedish Hash) was also plate licking good, with perfectly done Yukon Gold potatoes dancing with julienned veggies.
It was a thrill to discover Ebleskiver (Danish Pancakes) on the menu. My Childhood friend, Gunhild Marianna's, mother used to make them as a treat during sleepovers and I remembered thin, crispy rounds topped with Lingonberries. So it was a bit disappointing to have them set round, deep fried puffs of dough in front of us. Yes, they were light inside, crispy on the inside, but they reminded me more of Beignet from the French Quarter than Danish delights.
Our waiter was fabulous and fun and when we said we wanted to try a traditional Aquavita, he proved to be also knowledgeable and in his element. He steered us to an orange firewater infused with cardamom. Wow! What a kick. It would have been perfect on a cold winter day.
We switched to their version of Spanish coffees, dark, flavorful, and loaded with alcohol.
It was a happy, laugh filled, good food kind of morning. I almost hate to admit it, this place is that good. -

Great experience and I would've given this location at least a 4 star rating, however one person in particular made it awful. Before I get to that, I'll give praise first! Our waiter was Tallon and he was AMAZING!!! They were super slammed and he was running around keeping up with a smile.
Food:
Forlorade Agg (Lost Eggs) So delicious!!!
AEbleskiver (Danish Pancakes) w/ lemon curd & lingonberry jam...yum!
House-made pork sausage (good flavor a little dry or over cooked)
Kottbullar (Broder's Traditional Swedish Meatballs) served with crispy smashed potatoes. Lacking a pinch of salt but heavenly!
Drank: Special of the day, fresh raspberry muddled Mimosa and regular OJ Mimosa
Everything was wonderful!!!
Decor: Awesome! Love the wood elements :)
We had a very comfortable and relaxing experience, again Tallon was a fantastic server, treated us very well and his communication was excellent!!! We are definitely asking to sit in his section next time :)
Bad Part:
As we waited for Tallon to swing back around, in which we knew he was terribly busy we had a very bad interception. My uncle flagged down another server very politely and ask if he could process our check. The server snatched it out of his hands and whipped around, my uncle said, "excuse me? Can you split it down the middle?"...the server whipped back around and said, "WHAT?" In the rudest tone I've ever heard! I was so shocked and so was the table next to us. He rolled his eyes and stormed to the bar where he slammed the check. I could not believe it! He came back around after clearly a table and gave us the dirtiest look, again I'm in shock right now. My uncle proceeds to the bar to collect the check and complain that his behavior was rude, unprofessional and bitchy. Tallon came over to drop off some chain and we communicated how his team member treated us. Tallon was embarrassed and apologized for his behavior. Myself and my uncle have worked in the restaurant and service industries and know that we're all a team. Customer should always be treated with kindness and respect. If you don't like working around people in a fast paced environment with a positive attitude, maybe this isn't the job for you rude sir! Please speak to this server and have him correct his attitude of fire him. Tall guy, beard, he was wearing a black T-shirt today...he's awful!
Besides this experience, the food and Tallon receive 4 stars!!! -

This place was delicious. Service was great, and the interior has a great vibe. Went here for lunch and the dishes came out in a timely manner, and everything from the drinks to the food was good. They have a few tables for outdoor seating, and a couple of big tables inside for groups.

My favorite breakfast in Portland!
Great menu, cool interior, fantastic service. Right off the train line a couple stops down from the MODA Center. Very close to the White Eagle - which is a fun place to stay if you like beer.
Places like this make me wish Yelp had a six star ranking!
